Halsted Mosquito Forceps are typically used as a hemostatic agent to compress smaller vessels that regulate blood flow. These forceps contain a ratchet ring handle to ensure a tight clasp. The 5″ (12.7 cm) standard pattern consists of a straight or curved serrated jaw with the option of 1×2 teeth which may also be useful in grasping delicate tissue.
