Rigby Retractor is self-retaining, which allows it to be kept in place once applied in a desired position. The ring-handles contribute to better handling of the instrument and are comprised of a locking mechanism that enables it to be maintained. Furthermore, the 2 ½” deep flat blades play a role in the retraction method during procedures such as an appendectomy.
